Avelina, through its Mi Avena Foundation, joined the Espíritu Santo Valley Diocese in order to restore the church that will welcome thousands of parishioners this Sunday, September 8th, during the festivities commemorating the Virgin of the Valley, the Patron Saint of the East.
September, 2019. Cereal processing specialist INPROCECA, through its “Mi Avena” Foundation, joined the holidays honoring the Virgin of the Valley, helping remodel the basilica that carries her name located in Margarita Island, which will welcome the thousands of parishioners that will visit it this coming Sunday, September 8th, when the Patron Saint is honored.
The Virgin’s dwelling will boast of a fresh new paint job and, soon, an improved structure and new pews. All this comes as part of a joint effort in order to support this important sanctuary of incomparable spiritual value for eastern Venezuelans.
“All of us here at the Our Lady of the Valley Basilica want to thank the Mi Avena Foundation for their incredible contribution, which we can see in the church’s new paint job. All the parishioners have been pleased with the repairs and new look,” said Father Emanuel González, in charge of directing all the remodeling efforts throughout these past two months, with the support of other church allies in the island.
Meanwhile, Mauro Libi, INPROCECA’s C.E.O. expressed his own satisfaction with the efforts made to support and protect Venezuelan traditions, renewing his and Avelina’s commitment with everything Venezuelan. Likewise, INPROCECA hopes this initiative “helps broaden the reach of its charity projects, which include free food for the needy, protecting traditional practices, supporting sports, education and female empowerment,” said Daniela Aguilar, coordinator at Mi Avena Foundation.
